ACTIONS AND PROGRESS
The LIFE-MEGA project was funded by the European Union under the Life 2018 program. The project actions will take place between 1 October 2019 and 30 September 2022, the date scheduled for the conclusion of the works. The objectives that LIFE-MEGA has set itself to achieve are varied and ambitious.
A. PREPARATORY ACTIONS
Realization and installation of abating technologies and online monitoring tool in pig farms.
B. IMPLEMENTATION ACTIONS
The aim of this action is to realize an AI NUVAP tool able to abate the emissions activating the scrubbers only when established thresholds are exceeded.
C. MONITORING THE IMPACT OF THE PROJECT ACTIONS
Monitoring and measurements of environmental performance indicators, animal performance and welfare indicators. The data collected will be used for the environmental and socio-economic sustainability assessment.
D. PUBLIC OPINION AND DISSEMINATION OF RESULTS
The objective of this action will be achieved thanks to information, development and updating of the website, newsletter, creation and updating of social profiles and press releases.
E. PROJECT MANAGEMENT
This action aims to ensure the correct development and monitoring of the LIFE-MEGA project.
